One of the most tax-efficient
investments available in the UK.

The Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme is a UK government initiative designed to encourage investment into early-stage companies. The reliefs are substantial — and apply from the moment you invest.

50%
Income tax relief
50% of your investment is deducted directly from your income tax bill in the year you invest — regardless of when the company uses the funds.
0%
Capital gains tax on exit
Any profit you make when you sell your shares is completely exempt from Capital Gains Tax, provided SEIS conditions are met.
50%
Loss relief
If the company fails, you can offset your remaining loss against income tax. Combined with income tax relief, your effective maximum downside is significantly reduced.
100%
IHT relief after 2 years
Shares held for at least two years qualify for 100% Business Property Relief from Inheritance Tax, making SEIS investments estate-planning efficient.

Demand is accelerating. Rising food costs and compliance obligations are driving a shift away from manual systems.
No direct UK competitor connects recipes, inventory, prep, compliance and ordering in a single AI-native platform at this price point. MarketMan, Kafoodle and Kitchen CUT each solve one problem. Yes Chef solves all of them.
Natasha's Law created a compliance gap most kitchens are still closing manually. Yes Chef automates full allergen compliance — including PPDS labelling — from the recipe level up.
The closest funded competitor, Nory, has raised $63M and focuses on workforce and demand forecasting. Their inventory and compliance offering is limited. Yes Chef is deeper on kitchen operations from day one.
A second revenue stream via the Supplier Hub — referral and affiliate fees from verified suppliers — creates an additional income layer that improves unit economics as the client base scales.
Built-in sales infrastructure via FlexiWork's existing hospitality relationships accelerates client acquisition from day one — reducing time to revenue and cost of sale.

Six connected capabilities.
Built and live.

Yes Chef was built from the ground up by the founder — a working product, not a prototype. The SEIS raise funds the final integrations and polish required to take it to enterprise grade and full commercial launch.

Built by someone
who lived the problem.

Yes Chef AI was founded by Csaba Szabo — an executive chef who retrained as a developer specifically to solve the operational problems he experienced first-hand running professional kitchens.

That combination is rare and genuinely valuable. Csaba understands exactly what a head chef needs at 11am on a Saturday, what an EHO inspector looks for, and how a kitchen actually flows under pressure. The product reflects that knowledge at every level.

The entire platform — from the recipe engine to the compliance suite to the AI ordering logic — was designed and built by Csaba as sole founder. There is no outsourced development, no agency build. This is a technical founder with deep domain expertise, which is precisely what investors in early-stage SaaS look for.

What this achieves By the end of the SEIS period, Yes Chef AI will have an enterprise-grade product with full POS, accounting and supplier integrations, 50+ paying clients across the UK, a validated GTM engine and a live supplier hub generating early affiliate revenue. This is the traction base from which the EIS raise is made.
Revenue during SEIS Client acquisition begins from month one. By month 6, projected MRR of £4,500–£6,000 begins offsetting operating costs. The SEIS raise funds the gap between early revenue and full operating burn.
What follows — EIS A subsequent EIS raise of £500,000 is planned once SEIS milestones are met. EIS investors benefit from 30% income tax relief and CGT exemption. The EIS round funds full GTM execution — sales team, marketing engine and scaling to 200+ clients. SEIS investors have the right of first participation in the EIS round, ensuring continuity and protecting your position as the company scales.
